ACTIVITY: - The office in conjunction with the Municipal NADMO Office and the Municipal Health Directorate embarked on a ten (10) day sensitisation talk in the Sunyani Municipality on the Swine Flu (H1N1) pandemic which has broken up in some parts of the country. In all thirty villages were visited, that is three (3) villages in a day where the people were educated on the causes, symptoms, effects, and how they could prevent themselves from the H1N1 pandemic.

REACTION: - Most of the questions asked centred on the symptoms of the disease, its control and appeal to government to provide the needed drugs to areas where it has broken up. A man at Atuahenekrom wanted to know whether they should stop rearing or eating of pork to avoid the pandemic. A woman also wanted to know how come the pandemic started in overseas but just one year on it is now in Ghana

In some places the chiefs, and their elders as well as assembly men attended the talk show. The Municipal Assembly also provided the logistics needed for the programme. In effect the crew did not encounter any major problem during the period of campaign.
